Terms of Use
Last updated: 20 September 2026
Cornwall Radar is operated by
Adrian Tubb, trading as Trusted Tech,
Unit 1B Agar Way, Pool, Redruth, TR15 3SF, United Kingdom
(
info@cornwallradar.co.uk), referred to
below as "we", "us" or "Cornwall Radar". By using the site you agree to these terms.
1. What Cornwall Radar is
Cornwall Radar is a live-conditions dashboard for Cornwall (weather, tides, traffic,
buses, wildlife, local news and more), plus an optional local business directory with
reviews and vouchers. Most of the dashboard is free to use. Some alert features require a
paid consumer subscription, and businesses can pay to upgrade a free listing to "Featured".
2. Accounts
You must be 18 or over to create an account or take out a subscription, since it's a
binding payment contract. You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for
anything done through your account. One account per person, please.
Please read this part carefully. Weather, tide, traffic, flood, wildlife
and other live-conditions information on this site is pulled from third-party sources
(including Open-Meteo, TomTom, National Highways, the Environment Agency, BODS and GBIF)
and provided for general information only. None of it is an official warning. Alert
emails say this explicitly, but it applies to everything on the site: always check the
relevant official source — the Met Office, the Environment Agency, HM Coastguard, or the
emergency services — before making any decision where safety is involved. We can't
guarantee this information is accurate, complete, or up to date at the moment you view
it, and we're not liable for decisions made relying on it.
3. Business listings
- Listing a business is free; "Featured" is a paid upgrade that shows your listing
first in search results and in the rotating spot on the main dashboard.
- You're responsible for the accuracy and legality of your own listing's content —
we don't verify or endorse any business listed here.
- We can remove any listing at our discretion — most commonly for inaccurate,
misleading or inappropriate content, or a complaint we've upheld.
- Any voucher or offer a business adds to its listing is an arrangement between that
business and the customer. We're not a party to it, don't guarantee it'll be honoured,
and aren't responsible if it isn't.
4. Reviews
Reviews must be a genuine, honest account of your own experience with that business.
You must be signed in to leave one. Fake reviews, reviews for a business you own or
compete with, spam, or anything defamatory or abusive will be removed, and repeated abuse
may lead to your account being suspended. Business owners can publicly reply to a review
on their own listing.
5. Subscriptions and payment
- Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your
account panel or Stripe's billing portal — this stops future billing, but we don't
refund the current billing period already paid for.
- If you're a consumer, you have a 14-day right to cancel your first subscription
payment under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start providing
paid features straight away and use them during that period, you may lose this right
once the service has been fully provided.
- We may change subscription pricing with reasonable notice; the new price applies from
your next billing cycle.
6. Acceptable use
Please don't: attempt to disrupt or overload the site, scrape or bulk-extract data from
it, impersonate a business you don't own, upload illegal or infringing content, or use the
site for any unlawful purpose. We can suspend or remove access for anyone who breaches this.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Cornwall Radar running reliably but don't guarantee it'll always be
available — it may go down for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control
(including outages at Supabase, Stripe, Railway, or the third-party data sources we rely on).
8. Liability
The site and its content are provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows,
we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from
inaccurate third-party data (see section 2). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits
liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — those can never
be excluded. Otherwise, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you've paid us
in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top shows when they were
last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the update.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to
the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
