Cookie Policy

Last updated: 20 September 2026

The short version: Cornwall Radar doesn't run analytics or advertising cookies, and we don't show a cookie consent banner, because everything we use is "strictly necessary" to make the site work — the kind of storage that's exempt from needing your consent under UK cookie law.

What we actually use

WhatWhyWhere it lives
Your last-picked location So the dashboard shows your area again next time, without asking Your browser's local storage — never sent to us or anyone else
A sign-in token Keeps you signed in between visits Your browser's local storage, set by our sign-in provider, Supabase
Payment session Only while you're actually on Stripe's own payment page during checkout Set by Stripe on stripe.com, governed by Stripe's own privacy policy, not something we control
Map tiles The traffic and wildlife maps load image tiles from OpenStreetMap, and a traffic overlay from TomTom These are just images requested from those services — not tracking cookies

What we don't use

No Google Analytics or similar tracking, no advertising or retargeting cookies, and no third-party marketing pixels. If that ever changes, we'll update this page and ask for your consent first, as the law requires.

Controlling storage yourself

You can clear local storage and cookies at any time from your browser's settings — doing so will sign you out and forget your last-picked location, but won't affect anything stored against your account on our servers.
